A single-storey concrete house folded into a grove of bamboo and pines.

A long wall that bends to protect the trees, and opens wherever they allow.

(01) Narrative

(01) Narrative

No tree on the site was removed. The house follows a line through the grove that our surveyors marked over three weeks, adjusting its length and curvature to the existing trunks.

The roof edge lifts and drops with the canopy, letting light into the rooms where the bamboo is thinnest.
